CALC pledgers are a group of people who care deeply about social justice. We are committed to dismantling racism and other forms of oppression in our community and to building a fair, sustainable and joyful community for generations to come.

The negative effects of racism and other forms of oppression in our community are real. But together, we can work toward equity within our schools, parks, neighborhoods and city governments. Join CALC’s community of monthly pledgers to take part in the work of dismantling white supremacy in our communities and institutions. Take part in building a more fair and sustainable community.

We know change requires BIPOC leadership. Our board and staff by policy are majority BIPOC. Our organizers are Latinx immigrants with deep roots in their communities. Everyday, they work to bring communities who have been pushed to the margins to places where policies are formed and decisions made. Your monthly contributions directly fund the salaries of our organizers and their work.

CALC programs Education Justice, Springfield Alliance for Equity and Respect, Reimagining National Security and Citywide Unión de Activistas insist on space and voice for emerging leaders from underrepresented communities, including youth of color. With your support, we can hold public institutions accountable to the fullness of our diverse communities.

Pledge $25+/month for 3 consecutive months, or make a one-time contribution of $250 or more, and receive our CALC sweatshirt, made by local Threadbare.

Why We Pledge

“I really admire the work CALC is doing to organize and amplify the voices of people of color and others who are impacted by hate and bias in our community. . . I hope you will join me in supporting Community Alliance of Lane County and their Education Justice Action Team.”

Rose Wilde

“I am a monthly pledger to CALC. I do so for two reasons. One is I really appreciate the work that CALC does to make this a better community for everybody. And two, I find I can give more if I do it in small chunks monthly. It gives CALC a regular income and is easier on me.”

Jay

“I am a CALC pledger because CALC works on a lot of issues that I care a lot about. Racism, anti-semitism, LGBTQ issues, housing, youth development. One of the things that I really like about CALC is that they don’t just focus on one issue. They are focused on a lot of issues and where they intersect . . . I have been volunteering for CALC since I was really young, and I love having my money go toward developing the youth activists for the next generation.”

Jenny

“I am a CALC pledger for a very big reason. The work of social justice never ends. CALC is at front and center in the efforts of addressing racism in our communities. I hope you wlil join me in supporting CALC by becoming a pledger as well.”
