Founded in 1996, Basic Rights Oregon (BRO) is the state’s chief advocacy,
education and political organization dedicated to ending discrimination
based on sexual orientation and gender identity.
Beyond War
Beyond
War is a community of people from around the world who are committed
to ending the use of warfare in this century. We explore, model and
promote practical ways of resolving conflict and realizing our shared
humanity. Beyond War understands that conflict is inevitable, but war
is not.
Campaign
to Keep Oregon’s Guard from Deployment in Iraq and Afghanistan
In May,
2008, Oregon-based community groups began working on a new phase of
the Campaign to Bring the Troops Home--namely, trying to keep the Oregon
National Guard from being deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan.
CAUSA Oregon
CAUSA is Oregon’s statewide, grassroots immigrant rights coalition.
We work to defend and advance immigrant rights through coordination
with local, state, and national coalitions and allies.
Centro Latino Americano
Centro is a private non-profit organization serving the needs of Latino
families primarily in Lane County, Oregon.

DisOrient Film Festival
The DisOrient Asian American Film Festival of Oregon is a community,
grassroots, and volunteer-run film festival committed to presenting
honest portrayals of the diversity of Asian American experiences.
Eugene Middle East Peace Group
A local group of individuals from diverse backgrounds
and faiths committed to working together toward a just and peaceful
solution to the Arab-Israeli conflict in the Middle East.

Human Rights Program, City of Eugene
One of the goals of the City of Eugene Human Rights Commission is that
of “ensuring that human rights are a central part of every City program.”
In 2006, the Commission put the “Human Rights City Project” on its
bi-annual work plan, an action approved by City Council. The Project
is currently exploring ways that City government can implement international
human rights standards and principles in its overall operations.
Iraq Veterans Against The War
Iraq Veterans
Against the War (IVAW) was founded by Iraq war veterans in July 2004
at the annual convention of Veterans for Peace (VFP) in Boston to give
a voice to the large number of active duty service people and veterans
who are against this war, but are under various pressures to remain
silent.
Justice Not War Coalition
The Justice Not War Coalition is a community response to the events
of September 11th, 2001 and the subsequent military actions.
Latin America Solidarity
Committee (LASC)
Formerly known as CISCAP,
the Committee in Solidarity with the Central American People, LASC
is a local, volunteer-based grassroots organization, founded in 1982.
CISCAP works to educate the community, raise funds for material aid
projects, build grassroots opposition to U.S. military intervention,
and generate pressure for a more just U.S. policy toward Central America,
Mexico, and Cuba.

Lane Community College
The Center provides a comfortable atmosphere where students from all
ethnic backgrounds can get information on admission, registration,
course and program planning, and referrals to on-campus and community
services.
Pan Asian Community Alliance (PAC) (No website)
The mission of the Pan Asian Community Alliance (PACAlliance) is to
promote the Asian Pacific American community through advocacy, support,
networking, mentoring, and education. PACAlliance is a non-profit organization
of multigenerational community activists and organizers dedicated to
uniting the voices of Asian Pacific Americans in the areas of human

PFLAG Eugene/Springfield
PFLAG promotes the health and well-being of gay, lesbian, bisexual

to cope with an adverse society; education, to enlighten an ill-informed
public; and advocacy, to end discrimination and to secure equal civil
rights.
Pineros y Campesinos Unidos del Noroeste
(PCUN)
Pineros y Campesinos Unidos del Noroeste (Northwest Treeplanters and
Farmworkers United), is Oregon’s union of farmworkers, nursery, and
reforestation workers, and Oregon’s largest Latino organization. PCUN’s
fundamental goal is to empower farmworkers to understand and take action
against systematic exploitation and all of its effects.
Rural Organizing Project (ROP)
Our mission is to strengthen the skills, resources, and vision of primary
leadership in local autonomous human dignity groups with a goal of
keeping such groups a vibrant source for a just democracy.
United for Peace and Justice
United for Peace and Justice is a coalition of more than 1400 local
and national groups throughout the United States who have joined together
to protest the immoral and disastrous Iraq War and oppose our government's
policy of permanent warfare and empire-building.
Women's Action for New Directions (WAND)
WAND was founded in 1982 as Women's Action for Nuclear Disarmament.
With the end of the cold war, we became Women's Action for New Directions,
and have been dedicating our energies to redirect federal budget priorities
away from the military and toward human needs.
